Building on our vast experience of wet bottom ash system we have developed a new dry bottom ash system DRYCON®". Using power plant proven components the design eliminates inherent problems associated with competitor’s equipment at the same time offering increased ash capacity enhanced ash cooling.
Adjustable air inlets are located along the casing and at the discharge end of the DRYCON®. Most of the air enters into the airtight sealed DRYCON® from the discharge end, to ensure that the air travels over the hot ash. In addition a small amount of air enters from the bottom of the DRYCON® to assist in cooling the hot ash and ensure that the drive components remain within their operating temperatures.
Increased Ash Capacity Enhanced Ash Cooling
Adopting a steelplate conveyor using round Link chain and sprockets allows internal conveyor widths up to 2400mm. Using high strength chain conveyor length can be increased to give a longer cooling distance, eliminating the need for secondary or post cooling.
Positive Drive and Tension
Round link chain drive combined with an automatic chain tensioner offers positive drive under all conditions preventing slippage during operation in high temperatures.
Easy Maintenance
The Steelplate conveyor is supported on long life Lubricated rollers, which can be replaced during operation from the outside of the conveyor. Drive chains and rollers are protected from the radiant boiler heat by a heat shield, additional cooling is provided by ambient air entering the bottom of the conveyor.
Fines Removal
Integrated into the steelplate conveyor is a recirculation system collecting fine ash particles that have fallen through the plates, eliminating the need for an additional fines conveyor. Scrapers mounted on the steelplate conveyor scrape the fines against an automatically adjusted back plate returning them to the top side of the conveyor
Impact From Large Lumps
Located on the underside of the steelplate conveyor are impact tables, these accommodate abnormally large lumps of ash. Only in the event of deflection of the steelplate conveyor, will there be contact with the impact tables. This ensures that there is no friction and wear during normal operation
