The Anthony-Ross Company proudly introduces the second generation of digital solid state technology, a significant improvement over the old Vidicon tube technology. If you haven’t heard, this is the bed camera that converts to a mobile camera—all in real time digital technology. We are leading the industry with the highest grade optics and the best depth of view. This is the only camera on the market with a low temperature/low light lens, and it can be operated with one hand. Now, one camera truly does it all!
Our patented Boiler Inspection Camera (BIC) system can be configured as a bed observation solution, a portable inspection system or as a dual function bed observation/mobile inspection device.
The Anthony-Ross Boiler Inspection Camera (BIC) offers superior performance with digital imaging and high optics lens tube. Each camera retract system is customized to your needs and offers the reliability of Anthony-Ross cleaning systems. All our retract systems include a low pressure retract switch to protect your investment. Bed camera systems are offered in color or black and white.
Advantages include:
- Lens tube offers 120-degree field of view with exceptional clarity (widest field of view available)
- Dual functionality: bed camera and truly mobile camera in one unit
- Ability to see anywhere in the upper and lower furnace
- Superior image quality and depth of view
- Image quality not subject to degradation as experienced with Vidicon tubes
- Reduced maintenance costs (no more Vidicon tube replacements)
- Tremendous ease of use as portable inspection tool (mobile camera weighs only 12 pounds—less than half the weight of comparable products)
- The only camera on the market that is available with a low temperature/low light lens

Upgrades from the Bed BIC or Mobile BIC configurations are simple. We offer a staged approach at no premium over the regular price for the Dual Function BIC. Depending on your specific needs, you can start with either system and then upgrade as your budget allows. The BIC camera system comes with a two year warranty1 on all parts for defective material except the lens assembly parts that have been damaged by operation upsets or system failure such as loss of air or smelt on the lens assembly.
We offer service agreements for all of our equipment and any existing camera or port cleaning equipment you may have in operation. This includes cleaning, calibrating, hot adjustments, repairing and inspections. These agreements are typically set up for approximately three or four site visits per year.
