Black Liquor Spraying Systems

Optimum spray for staged combustion
Nozzle Adapts to Fit Variable Boiler Operations

No two recovery boilers are the same in design and operation. The Clyde Bergemann Anthony-Ross Variable Orifice Beer Can Nozzle(patent pending) comes with an interchangeable orifice disk that enables the operator to easily optimize the liquor spray pattern as needed for their particular boiler operation. These nozzles are made of high temperature corrosion-resistant heavy wall casting, eliminating the need for welds that are prone to corrosion in the heat-affected zones.

Clyde Bergemann Anthony-Ross nozzles are designed to provide an optimum spray for combustion in recovery boilers with Stacked Air Systems. The combustion of fuels in any boiler requires the proper mixing of both fuel and air. This holds true for the Kraft recovery boiler where black liquor is combusted to produce steam, as well as to recover spent chemicals from the pulping process. Unlike traditional fuel injection methods using splash place nozzles, new systems, such as the Beer Can and the Vjet nozzles, are more compatible with staged combustion.
